Sysero provides integration with Microsoft Word to allow firms to use exiting knowledge documents and contracts within workflows.  Using Word, subject matter experts can create master templates that allow workflows to produce transactional documents from the information captured during the process.

Sysero Template Builder (SyseroTB) is our own add-in that installs within Microsoft Word and allows Word users to turn normal documents into master templates.  It does this by allowing subject matter experts to add Sysero Fields to Word documents.  Fields are the placeholders that will be replaced with the data captured during the workflow process.  There are a number of field types to choose from in SyseroTB all of which do different things and have different effects on the information that will ultimately be displayed in the final document.

Each field belongs to a Category, also known as a section. An example would be fields like employee name, employee address and employee date of birth would all fall under the Employee section as they all hold information about the Employee. Sections therefore are a way of grouping fields and are used throughout the Sysero system to group information.

Types of Field:

  • Text Field: The most simple of the field options is a text field. This adds a text box into the questionnaire which when completed replaces the field with whatever has been typed in the questionnaire.
  • Number Field (Digits): This allows the user to select a number in the questionnaire.
  • Number Field (Words): This converts any number entered into the questionnaire into its text form.
  • Date Field: This allows users to select a date from a calendar view in the questionnaire which is then inserted into the document.
  • Choice Fields: These are used when you need to select from a list of pre-defined options
  • Choice Dependent Text:  This is for text that will appear only if specific options are chosen.
  • Category Dependent Text: Certain categories may be optional within a template and if these apply then this text will be used
  • Gender specific text:  Used to define gender pronouns.
