Sysero Usage Report

Introduction

The Sysero central logging system was introduced in summer 2024.  Any system installed or upgraded after the update will send usage statistics to sysero.com every Wednesday at 21:00 GMT.

Usage statistics are sent from the Sysero Timer Service, so if this is not running the statistics will not be updated.  Any system not upgraded since Summer 2024 will not log usage with sysero.com and should be updated.

The Sysero Usage Report lists the number of users recorded in the client subscription against the actual usage recieved from the weekly usage log.  This provides a comparison between the number of various user types covered in the clients subscription, against the numbers of users that are actively using the system.

Active Users

All user activity in Sysero is logged for GDPR compliance.  An Active User is recorded when a user accesses the system within the last 90 days for Registered or Enterprise Users, and within 180 days for Designers.

Detail

Each client server is logged separately, so a client may appear multiple times in the report. The sort order is by renewal date so that those subscriptions due for renewal soonest appear at the top. The Registered Users, Enterprise Users and Designer Users figures are from the subscription and are the number of users the client is paying for. The Active Registered, Active Enterprise and Active Designers are what they are actually using (see previous section for definition of “Active Users”).

The Weekly Difference is the change in the number of Active Registered Users from the previous week. This does fluctuate but is useful to see a general trend in usage and large figures in this column should be investigated.

The Last Update column is the last time sysero.com received a usage log.  If this date more than a week old for a specific server, then there may be an issue with the Sysero Timer Service which should be investigated.

The report can be downloaded as an Excel spreadsheet which is useful for keeping a history of usage.  Sysero can supply previous usage data on request.
