Configuring Maintenance Tool for the first time:-

1. Download from your Sysero support portal or contact Sysero for a link.
2. On the Sysero server we reccomend you create a folder called SyseroDeploy, please the extracted files in the root of that folder.
3. Configure the following Values in SyseroCTXMaintenanceTool.exe.config
   • SyseroDeploy : Location to the folder this exe resides in e.g. E:\SyseroDeploy
   • SyseroCTX : Location to main application folder e.g. E:\Sysero\SyseroCTX
   • SyseroCTXWinAuth : Only required when using dual auth, please contact Sysero support or Reseller for information.
   • SyseroCTXLuceneIndex : Path to index files e.g. E:\Sysero\LuceneIndex
   • SyseroCTXURL : This is used to open version update page at end of process, path to root URL e.g. https//www.example.com/syseroctx

Please note the following before using:-

• It is recommended Sysero is upgraded using the SyseroCTXMaintenanceTool, if a manual upgrade is required please contact Sysero support or or Reseller.
• The person running the tool should have administrator access to the Sysero server and the ability to confirm the last SQL backup was successful.
• We strongly recommend a backup is taken immediately before the upgrade is started.
• Automated rollback is only available on the same day of the upgrade.
• The upgrade can only be performed once as a safety measure, to stop corruption of rollback.
• It is strongly recommend you check with Sysero before executing the upgrade, as we may have changes that are not ready for you system.
• Rollback will only restore application files.  Because we only add additional tables and columns in upgrade, we don't require the database to be part of rollback process.  A second reason is that unless rollback is instant, people will have added data post upgrade and any restoration of database after that will result in data loss!

Running the Maintenance Tool

1. Please adhere to any local change control procedures before running, if Sysero are instructed to run the tool we log it in out internal Change Control system.
2. Check the system is running normally.
3. Go to SyseroDeploy folder, right click on SyseroCTXMaintenanceTool.exe and run as administrator.
4. Click upgrade.
5. Confirm any prompts, taking note of any that remind you about backups.
6. Note this process may take a while depending on the network bandwidth to the Downloads on https://www.sysero.com
7. If successful it will open Internet Explorer and get you to complete the upgrade, which will add any missing tables and columns to the database.
8. Check the system is running normally.
9. Please notify Sysero of the completion so we can keep a record of your current version.

Rollback

1. Remember you can only rollback the same day of deployment.  Outside of this you will need to contact Sysero or the Reseller.
2. If a rollback is required go to SyseroDeploy folder, right click on SyseroCTXMaintenanceTool.exe and run as administrator.
3. Click Rollback and wait for it to complete.
4. Check the system is running normally.
